Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She was also an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine tradition and its geography. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up in New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. She pursued her passion for working in the restaurant business by enrolment in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent the most fun time of my life. I couldn't be more educated or accomplished in my studies. After graduating from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, Chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. While in Italy she grew to truly be aware of the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that left a lasting impact in her viewpoint. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to enhance the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she makes trips across the country to talk about her love of food and her culinary career. Anne has said during her career in the kitchen she's grateful to share with others what is truly important to her.
