Bachchan made an appearance on screen in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance adaptation to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan's beauty and stardom are then combined in her first English language movie. Her return to Bollywood was in Dhoom: 2 2006 before she released Provoked The Provoked True Story (2006). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star as well as the child of Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's greatest personalities.
